WARWICK, RI, June 6, 2011– On June 8, 2011, Rhode Island-based InsureMyTrip.com, a pioneer in online travel insurance comparison and sales, will break new ground once again by participating in World IPv6 Day, a global-scale test flight of IPv6, the next generation of Internet Protocol (IP) addresses.
The goal of World IPv6 Day, sponsored by the Internet Society, is to motivate organizations across the industry to prepare their services for the transition from IPv4, the protocol most Internet services use today and which is expected to run out of address space this year, to IPv6 which provides over 4 billion times more space.
