Debra, thank you so much for your prompt reply to my emails. In the way the number had been copied down, I was certain I had omitted part of it. I truly appreciate your replies, and am quite impressed with the service I've received thus far.

We’re growing, and hiring

Tuesday, December 16th, 2008

Kerri, Director of Technology

We’re working on some exciting enhancements to our site. The changes may not be obvious to our customers just yet, but they will position InsureMyTrip.com to continue improving how we provide service to our customers and our insurance companies.

To that end, we’re looking for some new programmers to join our team. The job is located at our Warwick, RI headquarters, which is just south of Providence. Our company provides paid health insurance, vacation and personal time as well as retirement contributions. We’re a fun group of people to work with and after 8 years, we still find new challenges every day.  Our work style is open, collaborative, and fast-paced. We’re a leader in our industry and one of the fastest growing internet companies in R.I.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • has passion for working with code
  • writes clean, extensible, high-performing code
  • has experience working with Object Oriented languages
  • gets excited about new technology
  • uses strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with your team
  • enjoys innovative problem solving

You should have 3-5 years working knowledge of (and expert in at least a few of) the following technologies: LAMP, MySQL, PHP, Perl, C++, Java, HTML, XML/XSL, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX. You should also have at least a few years of working experience in a professional development environment, using a shared code base with source control. E-commerce development experience is a plus.

A BS in Computer Science or related field is helpful, but more important is applied professional experience.

This person will be an active participant in all aspects of our development process including researching and developing new initiatives, seeking solutions and expanding upon our external and internal applications.

If this looks like a good fit for you, send a cover letter briefly describing your experience and skills along with your resume and a few code samples to: jobs at insuremytrip dot com.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks!
Kerri Lemoie
