Our trip was delayed due to a blizzard and so we had to leave about 5 days later than planned. The insurance company covered the one night that the hotel charged us extra for, without any problem. We always go through Travel Guard Insurance because it is easy and they have always been very helpful. You should know, however, that if you book a "new trip" with new dates when your original trip is "cancelled," you have to purchase a new policy. It is not any longer part of the old policy.

This is the first time I looked to the web for travel insurance. I was very pleased--the coverage was great and it cost less than what I would have paid through my travel agency or my credit card!! I've been over paying for 10 years!!!

We had to cancel our trip due to my husband's emergency gall bladder surgery. Travel Guard responded to a phone call with clear instructions as to what was needed to file the claim and they processed the claim promptly with no hassles.

Purchasing the insurance was easy. I discovered a date mistake I made several weeks later and had no problem correcting it with a very helpful John Hancock rep. I also liked the "have a nice trip" email just prior to departure. It reminded me I had insurance coverage and that your company was on top of things. Thank you.

I try to find a plan that will cover my needs but not cost me too much extra money. Thankfully I have not had to use the insurance, but it is there for my piece of mind while traveling.
