This plan was purchased for a lengthy ocean trip. Full travel insurance would have been prohibitively expensive, we had allowed for delays and were willing to risk known costs such as lost luggage. This plan provided catastrophic coverage for possible accidents and evacuation from the ship, at an affordable price, and the terms were much more satisfactory than a similar policy we had purchased for a different trip a couple of years ago. This was exactly what we needed.

I covered the airfare on Qantas from LAX to Sydney, AU. for a cruise of New Zealand round-trip from Sydney. "Trip Protector Lite" was the most economical insurance coverage I could find for that airfare cost. Luckily I didn't have to use it (thus far), so I am unable to comment on how good the coverage is.

Fortunately we did not have to use it, but felt more comfortable having it. The representative that answered my phone call was incredibly helpful. I really appreciated all of his efforts. It was a pleasure dealing with someone who really knew what he was doing and was more than willing to do it.

Had to file a claim due to hurricane Sandy. The insurance paid for our layover due to the storm and the claim was processed in less than 2 weeks. There was a little confusion with 1 item that was left out, but a call to the company had it handled quickly and without hassle. Will use them again for the next trip.
