I read all the insurances in the comparison table. Since most customers are seniors, read this. The disadvantage with Basic is low medical coverage 10 K but the higher plan is 250 K. This is in case you undergo a major surgery & incur expenses within 3 days at ICU. So if you get the saver, you are better off with the higher plan. another plus : you must purchase within 10 days the plan so there is a waiver for the preexisting.Another plus is for evac 1 M. Another plus is medical is not secondary to your supplemental or primary insurance. the company Nationwide is strong company. Also check your credit card like american express Costco, it already cover accident & dismemberment.Also if you have a prexisting, get the On call single trip bec you the patient can chose any hospital & place of your choice & cost only no prexisting condition. I did not end up using the insurance. But later found out from my friend who traveled with me and I recommended she get the same coverage that I would have had to pay for all the expenses up front and then would have gotten reimbursed. I did not know this so will select a different coverage in the future.

I spoke to Customer Service about this and was told that they could make arrangements to guarantee payment. In any event, all of these plans are Indemnity, so no matter who you choose, you'll need to pay upfront and file a claim... even if you select a primary insurer.Mar 26,2012
