I called from Indonesia with a request for an eye doctor referral and the person on the phone seemed to have no knowledge of the Bali geography and recommended a hospital that even some of the locals felt was inadequate. I had to handle the whole issue myself. Therefore, I feel the one thing I needed help with was pretty basic and handled terribly.

I think the plan was a good choice. I went to two countries on my trip and I think the plan specifics covered both countries, since they're next to each other.

Like most insurance, I'm glad I didn't actually need to use it. But traveling in 3rd world countries required more peace of mind for this senior citizen. Medical & evacuation coverage were important to me & this policy seemed to have the right balance between benefits & cost.
