I especially liked having the names and contract information for medical centers and physicians who are recommended by and associated with HTH in the towns where I was visiting.

We had terrific service with Travelex. Filing a claim was very easy. The required documentation was simple and readily available. Our claim was paid promptly in full. We will definitely use Travelex again.

I'm somewhat confused about the name of the plan, 'Allianz Global Assistance Classic Plan', as my travel insurance documents identify the insurance plan that I purchased as 'Access America Classic Plan'. Did 'Access America' change their name to 'Allianz Global Assistance'?

Because I did not have to file a claim, it is difficult to write a review. However, I would certainly hope that if it had been necessary to file a claim, that any necessary payment(s) would have been made by the insurance company and that the claim would not have been 'denied'. I have read many horror stories about denied claims for travelers who have purchased travel insurance in 'good faith'. Ordinarily, I make travel plans/trip reservations for air and hotel 6 - 9 months in advance of the trip. Therefore, I feel it is important to purchase trip insurance in the event of an unforeseen situation that might arise prior to the trip, as well as something that might happen during the course of the trip.

Due to a death in the family ,we had to cancel our trip less than 1 week prior to departure. We filed our claim on May 30, & received our refund June 21st...every penny! They made the process completely painless & provided us with all of the forms immediately. Be sure to follow their instructions completely, if you have any questions, their phone reps give you answers, it takes no time to speak to a live person! We will be dealing with Travel Guard in the future!
