Mara would not recommend this plan to a friend or relative.
My return flight was canceled so I extended my trip one more day - I called the ins. co. and was given an email address as it was on the weekend and told they would reply within two days. In the email, I explained the issue about wanting to extend the policy one day - I never got a reply until I sent the email again 5 days later along with a copy to InsureMyTrip - then shortly thereafter I got a reply.

    So it sounds like we need to have the date of the policy to end the day after you return home, in case the return flight is cancelled, as they did not cover the extra day this flight cancellation caused her.

While we were gone, our dog had a life-threatening experience. We realized that there is a gap in coverage for pet emergencies. That said, the plan we purchased fit our other needs perfectly. We would be happy to purchase the same plan again in the future.
