Our trip was canceled due to radiation danger. We have rescheduled it for July 2012. I will purchase this coverage again next year. We were able to get a full refund directly from the airlines for our entire group. The only loss was the cost of this insurance.

Since I did not have to file a claim for any reason using the insurance I purchased for my trip, I can't speak to that aspect of the coverage. What I can say is that I was able to purchase insurance over the telephone on a Sunday, only two days before I left for my trip. The representative I spoke to was helpful, thoughtful, thorough and friendly. The policy covered all areas that I was looking for - medical needs, trip cancellation and interruption, lost or stolen baggage and much more. I felt the policy was reasonable and it covered a wide range of travel related issues. I do not travel without travel insurance and, although this was my first experience with InsureMyTrip, it will not be my last!

This was one of the most thorough and user friendly plans available. I was certainly hoping my daughter would not have to use it but I did have her contact the number from Japan to see if it was a human or machine she would be getting in an emergency. The staff that answered were helpful and courteous. She confirmed she talked to people and I had to call and say thank you. It was very nice to know that my baby would be taken care of until she came home. I will use this insurance for all my traveling needs.
