Barbara would recommend this plan to a friend or relative.
Even though we did not file a claim which is good, we traveled worry-free. Any one who travels without travel insurance is playing with fire. I have read horror stories of people getting sick or having an accident on their vacation who did not have travel insurance. I have also read wonderful stories of people who did have problems and were happy that they did have travel insurance. Do not leave home without it!

Richard would not recommend this plan to a friend or relative.
My dilemma was that while I was at sea on a two week cruise my mother got quite ill. The paper which I had with me did not detail the policy, and I had no internet access. In other words, should I have needed to abort my trip I had no idea who was responsible for what. Fortunately, I did not need to return, but had anxiety about it.

What I like about this plan is it allows me to cover as much of the cost of the trip that I want, not the entire cost. Also, since my health insurance covers foreign incidents, I like the fact that it still covers an appropriate amount for medical evacuations.
