We were fortunate that we did not have to file a claim, so we didn't have that experience to comment about. However, we felt that the coverage plans offered were varied and we were able to choose an affordable plan that covered our needs.

I thought the American Express Global Travel Shield Deluxe plan was a good and reasonable plan. It had better coverage than the plan my travel company offered. Thankfully, I did not have to use the insurance but I was happy to know it was there if I needed it.

Like most insurance, we're just grateful that we didn't need to use it. It gave us peace of mind throughout our trip in case we did however.
