One of our suitcases was damaged and we thought we would file a claim. Because there is so much red tape involved in even submitting the claim we will just buy ourselves a new suitcase without involving CSA. Ridiculous what you make people go through for the price of a new suitcase.

In addition to substantial initial confusion over whether or not spouse coverage was included, the pre-existing condition clause of this policy is unusually draconian. Under their example, medical coverage would not be provided for a heart attack if the company could show that it was caused by arteries which were clogged prior to purchase of the policy, even if the customer was unaware of the problem. More importantly, emergency evacuation for that heart attack would not be covered if they could avoid covering the medical problem. Our trip was canceled by the tour company so evacuation coverage did not matter, but I will never again purchase a policy from IMG.

There isn't much in the way of medical care in the area of Russia we visit. Global Alert provides us with peace of mind; since we know that regardless of what might happen we could efficiently be airlifted to a competent medical facility for stabilization and then to a full-service Western hospital for treatment. We go to Russia every year and will always insure with Global Alert.
