I delayed filing a claim with Travelex because I wanted to exhaust my "administrative remedies" with United Airlines. In the end after several attempts at reimbursement for flight cancellation and delay expenses, they exhausted me, but maybe not forever. (This is one way to spread the word.) When I filed a claim with Travelex (actually Nationwide, the underwriter), I was paid in full for documented expenses within two weeks. Great service, and they helped me with the filing on the phone so my claim could be complete.

My mother became very ill in Spain (acute kidney failure) and had to spend the night in a hospital in Madrid. Her medicare supplement plan only covered 80% of her hospital bill. We filed a claim with CSA for the remainder of the hospital bill (~$1400). We were a little worried since other reviews of CSA Travels claims handling weren't very positive. Those reviews couldn't be more inaccurate. CSA travel processed our claim expeditiously and reimbursed my mother for the remaining hospital expenses. We were very pleased with their service and would highly recommend CSA travel to anyone shopping for travel insurance.
