Michael would recommend this plan to a friend or relative.
Our friend collapsed in the Dominican Republic. Fortunately, he is OK, but had to spend the night in the hospital. He is from Canada and had supplemental insurance which helped. It's a reminder to have insurance when you travel.

It was very conforting to know if anything

When traveling you never know what can happen and having insurance is always a good idea. I reviewed my plan against others and for the "most part" this plan covered any medical expenses that I might have incurred along with stolen items which were my main concerns. Always think of what kind of trip you are taking (I was taking a surf trip) and then tailor your choices to best fit your needs.

So far yes. I like that they cover pre-existing conditions. So far, we have luckily not had to file a claim. I have been buying policies from this company for a few years now.
