It 's hard to rate a service one didn't(thankfully) have to use. I bought travel insurance once and DID have to use it so I've never gone on a major trip without it since.

It was a little expensive, but considering how much money we would have lost WITHOUT it if something happened and we couldn't go on our trip, it was worth it.

Fortunately we did not need to file a claim, but went with Travel Guard because of your reputation and the belief that had a claim been necessary, it would have been handled fairly and in a timely manner.

Robert would recommend this plan to a friend or relative.
I am thankful we did not need to file a claim but we had the assurance of knowing we were covered. American Express had the best coverage for the price and we will stick with them in the future. Last year the very trip we just took had to be canceled because 4 days before departure, I had to have a serious emergency surgery. I have elderly parents and my husband's brother is in bad health, so we never know what might happen that might impact our trip.
