I got the policy for a family road trip to another state. Really just wanted medical coverage and some cancellation coverage for certain things (work, illness, hurricanes, etc.). The policy definitely covered what I wanted covered, but was also more comprehensive than I needed. It would be nice if there were a policy that was more a la carte, so that you don't have to pay for flight coverage if you are not flying on your trip.
