Nancy would recommend this plan to a friend or relative.
This was simply the first time I traveled outside the country since being under Medicare, knowing that in case of an emergency, I would not have coverage without additional health insurance coverage. It does give one the benefit of 'peace of mind.'

Our trip was last minute, so I got medical coverage at the last minute. InsureMyTrip site is one I have used before and it never fails to provide choice, convenience, very knowledgeable and helpful customer service staff. The MEDEX TravMed Abroad plan had everything we wanted and needed, although I did worry about the 'window' for pre-existing conditions. I chose this plan because its window was shorter.
