It is nice to know that we had insurance on our trip for unforeseen problems, but, this was our second trip and we didn't have to use it! It is comforting to have anyway - just in case.

It is nice to know that you have insurance coverage when away from your home base. With insurance coverage today being difficult to understand, what is covered, what is not, out of network coverage and then the games that have to be played if one becomes sick or needs medical coverage. It is a relief to know you are covered and this allows an individual to enjoy their vacation.

On this particular trip, I didn't need to use any of the insurance features purchased (a safe trip). The peace of mind that it brings to me having purchased the travel insurance should the need arise was awesome.
I did purchase a travel medical insurance plan for a trip to Costa Rica in 2008 from "InsureMyTrip" and utilized it after a motorcycle accident left me with a broken right leg (Tibia). I needed immediate surgery and 4 days in the hospital in Costa Rica and all was covered except the small deductible. All things were handled in an expeditious manner with NO problems.
I would recommend travel medical to anyone going abroad.
