I had a wonderful time in Buenos Aires for almost six weeks. Since I had no reason to file an insurance claim, I can't accurately evaluate the effectiveness of the policy I procured with John Hancock. However, when I travel outside the US, I always purchase travel/health insurance and check the independent reviews of others who have utilized these policies. From my analysis of the reviews for Hancock, it appeared that many people were satisfied with the coverage. Hopefully, I'll never have to file a insurance claim while traveling, but I wouldn't travel without insurance. The policy gave me peace of mind knowing that in the event something occurred, a means to deal with my situation would be at my disposal.

Purchasing the insurance was easy. I discovered a date mistake I made several weeks later and had no problem correcting it with a very helpful John Hancock rep. I also liked the "have a nice trip" email just prior to departure. It reminded me I had insurance coverage and that your company was on top of things. Thank you.
