This policy was perfect for us, and at a price I was comfortable paying. I had never purchased trip insurance before, but since we planned a major family vacation six months in advance, we wanted insurance in case something came up before we traveled, or while we were there, since it was such a major investment for the five of us. The John Hancock policy was perfect. InsureMyTrip.com made it easy to compare policies. Will shop here again.

Got caught in hurricane Sandy while on West Coast; was delayed 3 days getting back home; had to submit a letter from airline carrier stating that our flight was canceled, although with minimal checking, one could find out the entire airport was closed. Kind of a pain, but I guess I understand from where the insurance carrier was coming from.

Having this insurance plan lifted a lot of stress and worry knowing if something did come up, we would be insured and not out a lot of money vested into our vacation. The price was very reasonable for the coverage and even though we did not use it, it was comforting to know it was there. We will use this again on our next trip and highly recommend it to anyone who is vesting a lot into their trip or even if it isn't costing a lot, there were plans cheaper to cover the trip. Highly Recommended! We purchased our coverage 3 months before our trip and we did not have to worry on whether the trip went on or was cancelled beyond our control. This was our first time buying insurance for a trip and we were skeptical about it but we will not hesitate on our next trip.

We were fortunate enough to not to have to use this coverage BUT were GLAD we had it. We felt secure in knowing we were covered but such a comprehensive plan. We will purchase this plan again when we travel the next time.
