Donald would not recommend this plan to a friend or relative.
It's difficult to comment on a plan that didn't require making a claim. I would like to see a plan that offers a full refund, or at least a full credit toward another similar trip, if an insured simply decides to cancel the trip for no reason other than a change of mind.
