I was able to get out at the last minute after the snow storm of 2013. I live in CT. and it was doubtful up until the last minute if I would make it to the ship.

We would definitely purchase this plan again. Our vacation was for 3 weeks but we only got to stay 1 week. My dad got sick and we had return home to help care for him. We filed our claim in November 2012 and received our refund in late January 2013. The hardest part of the claim was getting the medical information from the doctors that treated him. Our claims analyst was great to work with and gave us guidance on what we needed and how to go about getting the claim forms filed. Very pleased with our purchase.

I did not have to file a claim, but because of the October 8th/9th storm in the northeast, I was extremely concerned about missing our cruise out of Miami on October 9th. Our airline reservations were for mid-day October 8th and many flights had already been cancelled on the evening of October 7th. I called Travel Guard on 10/7 to review my options and spent a half hour on the phone with a TG representative, who reassured me that, if the flight was cancelled, TG would do everything possible to make alternate arrangements to get us to the port of embarkation or to the first port of call. Fortunately, our flight was the last flight to Miami out of LaGuardia that day and everything worked out as planned. It was comforting to know that Travel Guard was ready to assist in any way possible. I wouldn't insure with anyone else.
