Have had Travel Guard ins in the past on which occasion my husband fell in the islands on vacation and dislocated his shoulder, which I was able to pop it back in, thank God. He refused to get medical attention on the ship at that time. When we got home, his shoulder kept popping out and was in quite a bit of pain so he did go to the Dr. We filed a claim for this and I wasn't surprised they denied his claims as I knew he should have got documentation from the ship Dr at the initial time of injury. So bottom line, always get documentation to present with any claims. This past week, we had no reason to use our Travel Guard Ins. And I would use them again in the future.

I have many friends and have raved about Travel Guard to all of them, two have already signed on with their next trip.
I have used Travel Guard on a number of occasions but luckily have never needed them, therefore I wouldn't have known how excellent they were.
However on my last trip to Israel, I got sick and had to cancel my scheduled flight back. The people at Travel Guard were so considerate and respectful and told me what I needed from the doctor and then took care of my arrangements and everything else when I was able to travel. I work in Healthcare and frankly find customer service at an all time low therefore, I was shocked by the wonderful way I was treated. They even called the day I got home, to find out how the trip went and to find out if there was anything I needed!! Hopefully I will never need to call on them again but I certainly will use their flight insurance each time I fly.

Someone else on our trip suffered a stroke on the last day of the trip and had to stay in Croatia. I will have to think about that whenever getting insurance in the future.

Although I am completely happy with the plan I feel that the plan costs have risen lately so that they are almost what I would pay with my travel company and their insurance covers medical expense as "primary", not secondary
