a passenger on the cruise ship experienced a brain hemmorage. A military helicopter came to the rescue and took her and her husband to a hospital many miles away. I hope they had insurance.

Because we were traveling to an area with a State Department security warning, we thought trip insurance was a good idea. Fortunately we didn't need to use it--but we were especially happy that there was a 24 hour phone number for assistance if needed. We really appreciated the InsureMyTrip website for comparison, and it was great to be able to ask questions of a staff member online before purchasing.

I have recommended Travel Guard coverage to several of my traveling friends and relatives. I believe it is a good value for the money. Although I have never had to file a claim (thank goodness!), I am reassured while traveling because I have the Travel Guard insurance.
