Deborah would recommend this plan to a friend or relative.
We made a claim under the medical part of the plan for a doctor visit (cost about $125). My contact with Travel Guard was positive/efficient and we received the money within 4 weeks. For the premium charged, I think the medical coverage should be primary not secondary. Other insurers provide primary coverage for about the same premium.

I didn't have a claim this time but I did a while back when returning from Hawaii, our return flight was delayed 24 hours (what a place to get delayed) the problem was getting back home with all the connecting flights, we flew from Hawaii to Phoenix to Jersey to Detroit to Madison, all this with additional delays and hotel stays and food. I turned in my receipts and all was covered without any complaints. I'll never fly again without insurance with InsureMyTrip,
I recommended InsureMyTrip to the other couples I was traveling with recently on my last cruise the end of April 2012 and they saved money rather than using the cruise lines insurance and we also got better coverage as it covered the hotel and air the day before and after that WE booked, not just the day of the cruise as the cruise line covers. Great deal ... Dale

Thank heavens I did not need to use the insurance. However, when I travel out of the United States, I like to have your policy just in case there is a need.

I shouldn't have purchased insurance. I bought it to ease my wife's mind. However, the insurance cost 9% of the cost of the whole trip. That is way too much.

Fortunately we had no problems during our trip to Israel. Therefore I can only evaluate the purchasing part of this contract. Finding the best insurance plan was easy and receiving all the necessary documentation via email was also convenient.
