I've used your service many times without a claim so I have no knowledge about what happens when a claim is made--the true measure of your quality and value. To me, it has just been purchase of a policy and I'm happy to keep it that way. Some people on our cruise did not receive their luggage for 5 days because of a massive Lufthansa foul-up in Frankfurt, Germany. Fortunately, we connected through Dusseldorf and had no problems. It could have been very different.

We did not have to use the insurance, which is really the only way to truly rate the plan. However, we selected this particular plan to provide the coverage we wanted - waiver of pre-existing conditions, reasonable dollar amounts and time frames for delayed/lost baggage and trip delays to kick in, etc. Assuming we selected correctly, the plan offered the desired coverage for a fair price compared to some of the other plans we also considered. We felt secure knowing we had it.

I didn't need to use it and so have no opinion about whether I chose the right options. On the trip home, the cruise ship was 4 hours late arriving in NYC causing me to miss my plane. I was not sure whether the Insurance would have paid for me to stay overnight had I needed to.
