Thomas would not recommend this plan to a friend or relative.
This was a claim for foreign medical expenses; not a big claim, under $100. The insurer wanted incredible documentation (I had everything), but after a considerable delay demanded that I get denials from my domestic health insurance. I complained to InsureMyTrip and apparently this helped. Insurers certainly know that Medicare and other domestic insurance companies do not cover non-emergency care abroad. This was a delaying tactic that has no justification. Eventual payment was in full, but took over 60 days.

I've been using InsureMyTrip for all my trips since about 2003, when I first discovered them. This is a lot of trips since I usually take 3 a year! It was the best find I ever made!

I can only say the price was good for the coverage. The REAL test of the company would come when, and if, I had to file a claim. I hope that never happens but the friend who recommended this company to me did and said they were treated well and promptly.

I was mainly interested in medical evacuation and loss/delayed luggage since those items were not covered by my credit card purchases to the extent I wanted. This plan was 1/2 the cost of plan offered by touring company.
