Douglas would recommend this plan to a friend or relative.
We thought as United Airlines cancelled the second of three legs of our outbound flight and rescheduled us to continue our trip 2 days later that we may need to use the plan. Luckily, after 1.5 hours working with United we were able to arrange another route which got us to our destination 1/2 hour later than we had planned. It was good to know the plan was there should it have been needed.

First time traveling with an infant. I wanted a bit more piece of mind. TruTravel did that. Luckily I didn't have to file any claims, so I can't comment on that, but I was pleased with the benefits, price, and piece of mind that the plan offered. I was also pleased that surfing is not an exclusion as it is for some plans.

What a relief to have the assurance that if "worse case scenario" happened we could recover our losses and have emergency medical expenses covered as needed. Thankfully, we only had a small bump along the way (the GPS in our rental car quit working for a short while.)
