The Diplomat International plan from Global Underwriters features medical limit options to help any traveler be fully covered. The medical coverage options of $50,000, $100,000, $250,000, $500,000 and $1,000,000. The medical limit for travelers ages 70 to 79 is set at a maximum of $100,000 for travelers ages 70-79 and $20,000 for travelers age 80 and over. Along with options for the medical limit, the deductible can be set at a range from $0 to $5,000.
As with many travel medical plans, emergency medical evacuation coverage is included. This will help to ensure the traveler reaches a medical facility that is capable and adequate perform care for the injury or illness.
This plan does include coverage for a sudden recurrence of a pre-existing condition – up to $20,000. If the traveler is 65 or older, this coverage is limited to $2,500. The lookback period for pre-existing conditions is a timeframe of 12 months.
The Diplomat International plan also provides a political and natural disaster evacuation benefit of $50,000, which can be upgraded to $100,000 if the Enhanced Political and Natural Disaster Evacuation option is purchased.
