I always buy trip insurance when going out of the country. I had to use it once and it paid off. I did not need to submit a claim for this trip …in today’s world one never knows.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Lite
Fortunately I had trip insurance as the airline changed the date of departure and I could not go on that date and although that carrier gave me full refund; the connecting local carrier would not and that’s where the insurance came into play and refunded me for that portion.

Generali Global Assistance Premium
I have used InsureMyTrip in the past and never had to make a claim. This time we had to make a claim, it was very easy and I filled out the forms online and faxed them over. I never got a response via email or phone but 2 weeks later a check arrived in the mail for the full amount of the claim I submitted. I am very pleased and there was zero hassle. This is a great company and I will 100% use them again

GeoBlue Voyager Essential
The GeoBlue Voyager Essential plan gave me peace-of-mind during our trip. Although we didn't need to file a claim (thankfully), I felt very secure knowing the coverage was there at what I considered a reasonable price.
