AIG Travel Travel Guard Basic
Purchased to satisfy the anxiety of one of our group, your plan worked well. High quality hospital emergency services are very inexpensive in Croatia ( we have used them twice in two years for a total cost of $150 ), we carry travel insurance only for severe trauma/evacuation situations.

The process was seamless. Submitted all my receipts for surgery in Solvenia and the daily wound care as we traveled for the next 12 days, not being sure what I was submitting as they were from 3 different countries and currencies. The whole amount submitted was paid without a question in three weeks time.

Fortunately we had no need to use our policy, but last year we did. Our trip to Croatia was aborted because my wife came down with shingles in her right ear. She was very sick. My claim was fully covered. A good company to do business with.

Easy to get and reasonably priced. Since I was hospitalized two weeks before the trip, it was a comfort to have the insurance in case we could not go!

AIG Travel Travel Guard Basic
We think that Travel Guard offers a great product for a reasonable cost. Over the years, we have had to make use of this protection twice. Both times Travel Guard representatives were able to resolve the claims in short order.
