Insurance provides a safety net that one never wants to use. We had a luggage delay of one day but our river cruise began on day two so the inconvenience was minimal. We did not need to file a claim but it was comforting to know that a longer delay would have been covered and mitigated.

We use Insure my trip for all of our travel plans, being able to select the best plan to meet our needs is terrific. In this case we wanted "Cancel for any reason" which John Hancock provides as an option in their plans.
While we have only had to call upon our trip insurance once in all of our travels, it is good to know it is there.

I was pleased to have good insurance coverage at a reasonable price for my trip, even though I didn't need to use it. I've used Travel Guard a number of times in the past for other trips, and when I've needed to file a claim, it was as painless as possible, the staff were always helpful, and the claims were paid quickly. I will likely use Travel Guard for many more trips in the future.
