I insured a trip to Egypt which was canceled the day before I was due to leave in February due to political unrest. I subsequently found that political unrest was an exclusion from policy coverage. Therefore, for me the policy was worthless.
The take home message is make sure you read the exclusions before you sign up for travel insurance.

We were very happy with CSA Travel Protection. We had to file a claim with them because of the snowstorm in New York and the closure of JFK. We called CSA while we were delayed and they answered their telephones promptly, answered all of our questions and gave us a claim number. When we returned from our trip, we again called CSA and they assigned a personal representative to our claim. He told us exactly what we needed to do to file a claim and we had a claim check in our hands within 30 days. We will definitely use CSA again because of the outstanding service they provided to us.
