Our trip ended up being a day longer than we initially anticipated because our return flight was overnight. We called AXA to extend the plan a day and they were very helpful and immediately extended the plan for the extra day.

Next time I go on an international trip, I will recommend the HCC Medical Insurance Services Atlas plan to my traveling companions. I did not file a claim, but several of the people traveling with me got sick and did not have the coverage they needed.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Essential
Although we didn't need to act on the policy, there was peace of mind knowing that we had taken the necessary precautions in the event of an unforeseen emergency. With aging parents in poor health, one never knew if we might be called away to deal with a particular situation. The policy from Nationwide fit the bill for us!

    Thank you for your feedback on the policy. Nationwide travel insurance does not exclude coverage for pre-existing medical conditions of non-traveling family members. However, there is no coverage for foreseen illnesses. Coverage is provided for an unforeseen worsening of condition, which can be verified by the attending physician.
