Used Nationwide for travel insurance back in Dec 2017. Had to file a claim, which they dragged for 2 months with multiple calls and emails. Then refused to cover my claim with incorrect information on their justification. Will never do business with Nationwide again.

The TravelSafe plan we purchased, met our needs for what we want in travel insurance. Fortunately, we did not have any reasons to file but there is a lot of peace of mind knowing we have a great policy in place if we need it.

I did not get sick or have any flight delays. But the insurance did provide a sense of security since people do get sick, have accidents and flights are delayed. I went to Finland which is a country with no serious internal problems that I am aware of. Everything runs on time, everyone I ran into speaks English as well as I do, it is not a third world county. I still felt a need for insurance and at the end of the trip am still glad I purchased it.

Unfortunately the documentation provided cannot be used as part of a Schengen visa application, so it ended up being useless to me and I needed to purchase a different insurance product through a travel agency in a haste.

Thank you for letting us know of the problem with the embassy. However, The Tokio Marine HCC Atlas International plan was appropriate for the Schengen Visa but you neglected to eliminate the deductible for an additional premium of 1.10 USD.
Within minutes after you purchased this policy back on July 25, 2018, Tokio Marine would have emailed your policy with instructions on how to view and print your embassy letter. Unfortunately that letter would have shown the 250 USD deductible which would not have been acceptable for the Schengen Visa.Sep 25,2018

Plan had the right coverage (not too little, not too much) for my needs at the right price. Purchasing and paying process via InsureMyTrip was easy and quick. The Trip Delay benefit of the policy purchased reimburses for Economy Fare from the point where you ended your Covered Trip to a destination where You can catch up to the Covered Trip if you are delayed en route to or from the Trip for six (6) hours or more due to a defined hazard. Due to the fact that none of your flights were delayed by six hours or more, Nationwide denied your claim.
