Because we were traveling in the Middle East region, we wanted terrorism coverage, in the event of a disaster. However, all of the countries we visited were very conscious of their tourism visitors and security was very well handled and visible. As the cost of travel increases, so does the insurance premium, especially coverage for cancellation. At least there is reasonably priced insurance to assist the traveler in case of an accident while on a trip outside of the US. I hope my friend who was injured on my latest trip had insurance such as I purchased.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
We had to cancel an overseas trip when my wife was diagnosed with a serious illness that required timely surgery. Most of the air fare was refunded by the airline due to its refund policy. The remainder (preferred seating plus airline refund charge) was paid by Travel Insured Worldwide upon submission of the physician's statement and related documents. I was pleased with the prompt response.
