A true test of trip insurance is if it's actually utilized. This trip was our first to Europe and I wanted to cover my bases. Fortunately nothing happened that required a claim to be filed, so I can't give this (or any plan) a 5-star rating because I didn't need to use it. The peace of mind was worth the cost.

The plan provided adequate coverage for the items we were concerned about during the trip. The claim process and the forms associated with it may need to be revised as our claim should have been something that was quickly addressed as we cancelled and took advantage of the cancel for any reason clause. Instead the processing took one and a half months to complete for an item that could have been quickly reviewed and addressed. If the claim would have been processed quicker we would have been more satisfied with the service provided.

I was supposed to go to Istanbul and Greece the day the attack happened on the Ataturk Airport. After landing in Germany and being directed back home, I thought I would get my money back from CSA. However they refused to reimburse me for the airfare (because I used the ticket). I don't understand the virtue of buying a policy that doesn't cover your airfare unless you don't use it. Isn't the point of buying trip insurance to cover you for unforeseen circumstances? Now I get to start saving for my trip all over again.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. The GeoBlue Trekker Choice plan is an annual Multi-Trip Medical plan which also covers Medical Evacuation. This plan covers trips up to 70 consecutive days that take place outside the United States while the policy is active. You are not required to report each individual trip you take while the policy is in effect.

We had to cancel our trip due to terrorist activity in Istambul. Had insured our non-refundable airline tickets and hotels with CSA.
Filing the claims was easy. CSA responded immediately and our claims were processed in two weeks with full refund for our trip. This is the best travel insurance in the market!!
