Thankfully, we did not have to utilize the policy. It did fully cover the two events with which we had concern (trip cancelation and medical evacuation) at half the cost we anticipated.

I always use Insuremytrip when I need to purchase insurance for an overseas trip.
My major concern when I travel are potential MEDICAL costs and I wonder whether I should limit myself to just this portion of the insurance......
It is getting very expensive!

TravelSafe Classic
The airline cancelled my return flight to Miami when the airport closed due to Hurricane Irma. Got stuck in Prague for 4 days until I could get another flight. Filed a claim with all my receipts, flight cancel notice, etc. Took about 2 months, but they reimbursed me for everything--hotel, meals, transportation to the airport. No hassle at all. Will use them again, and would recommend them to my family.

Did not need to file a claim, but I cannot place a price on the peace of mind that having trip insurance gives me. If you are spending thousands on a trip, a hundred or so to be covered in case of unforseen events is so worth it. Like all insurance...you hope you never need to use it, but if you do, it's nice to know that it is there. I have used this company before. They explain what is covered, what options are available and they are reasonably priced. I will continue to work with them in the future.
