Buying the insurance was an easy process and the terms and conditions seemed to provide good coverage and gave us the peace of mind we needed. Thankfully we didn't have to submit a claim so cannot really comment on how easy or difficult that would have been or what the coverage would have provided in that situation.

Plan sign-up process was straightforward and agents were courteous and helpful. Communications were good throughout. We obtained the coverage we needed for a safari adventure (a wide range of potential needs) at a competitive price; I'm glad we didn't have to use it!

IMT Travel Accident Plan
Listing all the plan's options online would've been helpful (and making sure CSRs are fully informed about the products). When I called, I was told by more than one CSR the available options would not cover me for parts of my specific trip (climbing/mountaineering above 14,000 feet). I was then told a few days later by another rep that there was an option that would cover me for all of it, including climbing above 14,000 feet (we were climbing to just under 20,000 feet, on Kilimanjaro).

The IMT Travel Accident Plan offers coverage for several high risk activities, such as mountaineering, if additional premium is paid for the Athletic Sports and Hazardous Activity Rider. The Athletic Sports and Hazardous Activity Rider can be added onto the policy by emailing [email protected] after the policy has been purchased.
