I primarily got this plan because it met the minimum evacuation coverage required by my tour company. Did not utilize any of the benefits even though I was limping and in some pain because of fall and tight boots. Felt that the cost was too high, but did not have that many options since the tour firm was non-U.S. and had to get something fast.

I had no problems on the trip, and did not need to file a claim. However, I am happy that I had the plan just in case something had happened. I went to Laos which had very little medical services and limited transportation options to get me to good medical facilities in case I had needed them. It was good to know that this plan would have taken care of me if needed.

My biggest issue is not having clear and concise information on what/who to contact in the case of sickness or emergency. I'm sure it's in the slew of information I receive when I buy it, but after purchasing, their seem to be just too many confirmation numbers, phone numbers, emails, etc. It would be nice to have that core information consolidated for clarity and so I don't have to sort through it all in the (usually hectic) days before my trip.

Had a small baggage related claim. Settlement was fair financially. Communication wasn't absolutely speedy, but was on par with other insurance claims I have made with other companies. We purchased from this company again for another trip.
