I felt the cost for my insurance was high. I suspect it was high because I am now 80 years old and the plan did not take into account that I am in very good health and very active. However, the coverage and the agents with whom I spoke were excellent.

Thank you for your review. Travel insurance is reimbursement based and this policy is one of reimbursement. There are times when insurance providers can advance payment, based on the situation. During the trip you can always contact the insurance providers 24 Hour Emergency Assistance Center. At that time they can medically monitor you and if medical costs were high they may have been able to give the hospital details to forward any bills. After confirming the claim was deemed covered the final decision to pay would be made.
