Fortunately, we had no medical emergencies during our trip. The plan coverage and premium was very fair. We will use this plan on our next trip.

It was annoying to keep having to call and send confirming emails when I made my final payment. It would be nice to just pay for all of the coverage at the beginning, since I knew how much my total cost would be for airfare and lodging.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We are sorry to learn that you are displeased with the policy adjustment protocol. In the future, if you have an accurate price point of the total pre-paid and non-refundable trip cost, you can insure the entire cost up front, and pay the entire premium up front. Please be mindful that you would be reimbursed only for the trip cost that was non refundable at the time of cancellation. Here are several reasons why we advise customers to purchase insurance for the current trip cost, and add the costs of any subsequent arrangements as you make them: If an insured over estimates the trip cost or never incurs the trip cost, they will have purchased too much coverage, and will have over paid on premium. Outside of the 10-14 day review period there are no refunds. On the other hand, if the insured under insures, they risk invalidating the pre-existing conditions waiver. If you have any questions or concerns, please call us at 800-487-4722.

CSA Travel Protection Custom
I felt the cost for the insurance was a bit high - $70 for a 14 day trip. I traveled to three countries in that amount of time, so it was worth it because the amount of plane travel and possibility of luggage lost or delays was high, but if I were only going to one country for 2 weeks, it would not have been worth it to me. Also, the accidental death amount ($10,000 benefit in case of an accidental death or dismemberment) would have been better if it were a little higher. Since the chances of that happening are much lower than the chance of lost luggage or a missed connection due to delay during travel over the holidays, I would have felt better if it had been a higher amount in the same package I purchased.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. In general, comprehensive travel insurance policies will cost anywhere from 4%-10% of the total trip cost. To calculate premium, insurance providers consider the following factors: trip cost, length of travel, and age of the traveler.
CSA Travel Protection Custom plan offers up to $50,000 for Accidental Death & Dismemberment Air Flight Accident.

I purchased this plan for peace of mind, in case something happened. For the price, it was worth every penny. Great coverage for a reasonable price.

I think it is good to get coverage for unexpected interruptions in travel. I purchaced the "Cancel for any reason" and received back %75 percent of my cost. Add in the cost of the insurance and it was better than not getting anything back at all. They we're great at processing my claim and sending a reimbursement in a short time.

M.H. Ross Advantage Asset
I would have liked to have electronic items included in the coverage since these are the items most likely to be damaged or stolen. However, I did have peace of mind that I was covered if any mishaps were to occur.
