My discussions with Allianz were very good. After a review of my claim they wanted more information which had they looked a little more carefully they would have seen had already been submitted. Payment was in a reasonably short time and almost the total of what I had claimed. One of the things that should be made more of are the requirements if one has the misfortune to have to make a claim. One must notify not only Allianz immediately or within 24 hours but also the police if necessary and the travel company, airline etc involved. Careful notes of times telephone calls and people spoken to should also be kept along with receipts for anything that had to be paid.
