Worldwide Trip Protector Plus
Soon after I had arrived at my beautiful Swiss destination, I heard that my 89 year old mother had fallen and broken her hip, and was hospitalized, and was going to need surgery. I had to cut my trip short, but the insurance company paid for my losses of pre-paid train tickets, pre-paid hotels, airline ticket charges, and telephone costs.
The hotel that I was forced to stay at the night before my newly booked air travel was not covered. It seems they only pay for non- refundable charges, not charges that are incurred as a result of the illness of family member. The insurance company was wonderfully helpful. It took a little time for them to process the claim, but I was impressed and happy with the outcome. I would very much recommend them!
