Staff were pleasant and helpful when I needed to increase the amount of my coverage as I added reservations for my trip. The email help was not effective. All they did was give me a phone number to call.
We did not have to file a claim, but the coverage gave us peace of mind. A passenger on our ship was evacuated for a medical emergency on the first or second day, so I know the unexpected CAN happen.
