I used this plan during my 2018 European travels and, while I never needed to file a claim, I felt 100% secure that if anything were to happen, I'd be in the clear. I have chosen this plan for my 2020 travel plans as well!

We never needed any assistance or had a need to use our travel insurance but it was comforting to know that if anything unexpected happened we were covered. If we travel overseas again I would use AIG Travel Guard again.

My husband had a freak accident that required him to be hospitalized overnight. We thought he was fine, and would be able to complete our tour, but a day later, (and in a different city), he had to be readmitted, and stayed for three nights.
The medical team at AIG was very supportive and kind. They reminded me to save ALL receipts (including taxi receipts for when I visited my husband in the hospital) and emailed me the needed forms. They suggested I take a photo of the medical charges and email the photo to them so they could get the claim started.
In the end, I was reimbursed for 100% of the cost of the trip, which covered all of our out of pocket expenses and reimbursed us for the days we lost.
It took about 5 weeks for the claim to be processed, and the web site was not very helpful. It showed that I had outstanding items to submit, even after the claim was paid. But the people on the phones were very helpful and courteous.
Overall, I was very pleased with the service and the coverage.

I aways buy the AIG Travel Guard MedEvac insurance when I travel. It is a very good value for what it offers and I am glad that it is so easy to buy on InsureMyTrip. I used to buy it from my travel agent but is such a hassle for a small amount to them. And most other people really don't want to bother selling it as it is so small.
