At the end of the day, it was a fine policy. Since I didn't utilize it, Thank God for that, I can't really say just how good it really was in all other factors which would have been the most important part, of course- the actual coverage of everything and the actual response of the company to my actual needs . I felt it was too high a price but couldn't find anything else that met my criteria of $250,000 medical coverage...

I am very happy with the plan and the cost. Although I (forunately) did not need to file any claims this trip, I did file a claim last trip for lost luggage. After submitting receipts and documentation, my claim was paid quickly and the staff was polite and helpful through the process. I will definitely use the plan for future trips.

Travel insurance is too expensive for older travelers over 70. I am curious about the number of claims that are filed vs the number of policies purchased. I realize that you are a profit making company but from my perspective the older traveler is bearing too much of the burden vs the payout for this population. Could you provide me with statistics justifying your age related rate schedule vs spreading the cost over the age span of clients.

I am a big believer in trip insurance. I have had to make a claim occasionally, but it provides peace of mind should something go awry. I travel at least annually for pleasure both domestically and internationally and have bought trip insurance for more than 20 years.

When you purchased the AXA Assistance USA Gold plan, you actually purchased one of the most economically priced plans. Although your policy premium was 441 USD, we had many other plans offering quotes as high as 700 USD. Nevertheless, there were also more economical plans available to you.
