I thought the plan was good but when I found out that I paid almost $90 for a 10 day trip and my bag got lost on the way back, I called and they told me that delayed baggage coverage was only for the way there which I obviously didn't know before. The customer service rep for AXA wasn't very friendly about it either. Luckily my bag turned up and I didn't need to make a claim. But I already paid for another policy for AXA for my next trip in October (previously paid for) so I probably won't use that company next year when I travel or I will read the fine print and pay less!

We do suggest reviewing the policy certificate, before and after you purchase a policy, to ensure you know what your policy does and does not cover. There are plans available that do offer baggage coverage to and from your destination, but as you know not all do. I chose this plan strictly because of the Cancel For Any Reason coverage even though the cost increased quite a bit. A year ago I cancelled an expensive trip due to the close proximity to countries with active ebola cases and could not collect on the travel insurance I purchased since the trip itself was not cancelled.

Excellent coverage. My doctor recommended I not go on my trip just before leaving. I filed a claim with AXA and ended up receiving my check within 30 days (much sooner than that even). I could not have been more pleased. I will definitely will not hesitate to use them again.

Knowing we had an insurance plan in place gave us peace of mind. One must have insurance when traveling to a destination that is once in a life time and costly. The trip and the insurance plan were worth every single penny.
