Our trip to Iceland was interrupted by a winter storm that caused a government mandated closure of the roads and prevented us from getting to our return flight. We had to reschedule for the next day at an additional charge. Generali denied what would seem to be obviously a trip interruption and/or delay using logic that defies common sense. They are not to be trusted to do the right thing. The fine print is more important than their concern for their customers.

Of course the coverage was what we were looking for. It was important for us to have coverage for a trip as one never knows what may happen. Great I never had to file a claim. As soon as the trip was completed, and I arrived home with my bags, trip was completed. It was easy to navigate to get the coverage as well. Thanks again and until the next time.

Very disappointed in General Global Assistance and its deceptive marketing. We included and paid for "Cancel For Any Reason" except for a "listed covered event" in our coverage. We cancelled it per our own personal misgivings about Covid circumstances. While there were pandemic warnings about international travel, there were no restrictions about our travel.
This was misleading business, and we're very dissatisfied with the company's performance. Not only will we never use it again, it should be a warning to any members of the traveling public who may ever consider employing General Global Assistance.

We also offer a free look back period with all of our plans to allow customers to cancel their policies within a designated period as long as they haven't already left on their trip or filed a claim. The plan you purchased includes a variety of different covered events under which we can provide coverage if you are forced to cancel your trip. The plan is unfortunately unable to provide coverage for every event that might cause you to cancel. Disappointed that due to someone on the ship testing positive for Covid the Coast Guard would not let Viking entry the last 3 ports of the cruise. At lease they are giving up a credit towards another cruise.

Well, it was nice to have the insurance, not that I used it, but, if I had had to use it, I'm sure my coverage would have been tiptop, the cost more than reasonable for the service received, the claim process smooth and troublefree, my satisfaction over the top, and my eagerness to recommend the plan to all my friends and relatives would have been boundless.

Fortunately, we had no need to draw on the policy during our trip. Our traveling friends however, did have flight delays and missed excursions. So far, their dealings with Generali has been positive. We have just returned so I can not comment on how quickly they will be reimbursed. Knowledge of being covered in case of an emergency was well worth the cost of the policy. We would buy Generali insurance for a future vacation again.
