I had luggage delayed at London Heathrow for 8 days, but did not file a delayed baggage claim because I was at my home destination. I did talk with a representative about filing a claim if the baggage was lost - and he was extremely helpful. Thank you

I cancelled the cruise that this policy was for.
I requested to use the premium on insurance for another cruise that I had previously booked and paid for.
Was told I could only use it for the voucher I received for the recently canceled trip and a new booking.
I have no plans for a new booking in the immediate future because of uncertainties of COVID .
I will not ever again use Insure My Trip to purchase travel insurance.

Disappointed that due to someone on the ship testing positive for Covid the Coast Guard would not let Viking entry the last 3 ports of the cruise. At lease they are giving up a credit towards another cruise.

Fortunately, we had no need to draw on the policy during our trip. Our traveling friends however, did have flight delays and missed excursions. So far, their dealings with Generali has been positive. We have just returned so I can not comment on how quickly they will be reimbursed. Knowledge of being covered in case of an emergency was well worth the cost of the policy. We would buy Generali insurance for a future vacation again.

I did not have to use the policy, so it did provide peace of mind, however I don't know how they would handle a claim.

The plan appeared to provide reasonable coverage in the event of an illness, injury or some unplanned event. Since no claim was filed, I cannot offer an opinion on how the service would be in the event a claim for reimbursement was made. Yes I would consider this plan again for travel insurance.
